Dr. Marissa is originally from Upstate New York, where she earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica University. During her time at Utica, she was a four-year member of the women’s volleyball team, competing at the collegiate level.
After moving to Charlotte in 2021, Dr. Marissa quickly fell in love with the city’s active lifestyle and the NoDa neighborhood. When she’s not in the clinic, you can find her coaching CrossFit, hitting the slopes, reading a good book, or exploring Charlotte’s restaurant scene.
As both a physical therapist and CrossFit coach, Dr. Marissa is passionate about helping people move with confidence and return to doing what they love. She lives by the motto, “Move it or lose it,” and firmly believes that movement is medicine. Whether an athlete is chasing a new personal record or simply looking to stay active without pain, she enjoys partnering with patients to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and build long-term resilience.
